Root How to use the Awe as a WiFi repeater

Okay it's pretty simple and it works great there is a app on the play store called FQROUTER all you have to do is install it give it su permission and scroll down to share by android and you'll see the WiFi repeater just switch it on no need to adjust the settings now I'm not sure weather it works on all roms or not the rom I'm running is spirit I'll try others and update as I go
Enjoy

Thank you for the information. This is something that I had not considered possible for the device. Will try it out on stock rom and report the results.

works well with cm 12 the only rom that seems to have a problem is stock it works but it keeps shutting down

Well i guess sadly that fqrouter has been abandoned by the dev and the domain in which it uses is up for sale so i guess the awe is now just a flashy toy for the little guy. It sucks i tried to email the dev and explain that there'd be a lot of people willing to pay good money for the app he just needed to make it compatible with other devices but i guess that the WiFi repeater wasn't the most important thing for him it was allowing people to have Google access in china. God dam commie pricks

FYI FQ router hasn't worked in China for a while now, and in fact most free VPNs have difficulty here now. Paid subscription ones will usually still work in China, that's what I've found anyway. Think the intention is stop casual access to Google, Facebook, etc. by "the people", but at the same time they know companies, academics, expats, NGOs, etc, still require access beyond the GFW to conduct international business, communicate, research, etc.
