Well the site you linked to talks about the original Incredible like it's not an HTC phone and that it doesn't have Sense and that the new phone is built on OS 2.2 when the original Incredible has a Sense built on 2.2. The Internal storage is missing 7 gb on the new Inc S and there is no metion of which Snapdragon it has but I guess we can assume it's the newest one. It doesn't appear to be 4g either. The current Inc has S LCD now right?

From what I've read, sounds like the Dinc S is coming out on T-Mobile HSPA+ "4" G. I can't imagine a phone that'll be released in the 2nd quarter not having 4G.. especially since the 4G iPhone 5 will be dropping around that time.

  7. It says it isnt 4g and also I doubt the 4g iphone will come out this summer apple likes to take its time they did release the first iphone on 2g when 3g was wide spread they dont want to have issues with 4g so a 4g iphone seems more likely for next year

The release date has always been 1st Quarter 2011, they have until the end of March before it can be really considered "delayed". However with HTC anouncing today that the TB will start to ship this week, I would say that they should be available either this Thursday (the 17th) or next Thursday (the 24th).

I agree, but I'd all throw in the 21st to that mix

Not sure if its the Inc 2 or not. But they do still need 3G phones! i wish people will understand that.

At least until the LTE network is 100% established in every market, yes.

4G is nowhere near where I live (Alabama). I completely agree that they need to keep producing 3G phones until 4G coverage is everywhere.

On a side note, even though I don't have 4G coverage, I am still going to get the Thunderbolt.

i agree with them needing 3g phones, but i believe all LTE phones will also be backward compatible.

and as long as they're not charging more for LTE then there really shouldn't be an issue with moving to an all LTE line up. just don't sell the LTE SIM cards those that don't want 4g...? although i suppose it could also be subsidized cost related and not as simple as excluding the LTE sim...

I also agree that 4G phones should somehow be backward compatible and switch to 3G if there isn't any 4G coverage.

they are completely backwards compatible but i am not sure how the pricing will be handled. If there is NO increase in price then sure its not but there will be tons of people that DO NOT want to pay more and dont care to use LTE either. So they need to have great phone options for those people too.

The Incredible S is not a cdma ev-do phone and it is going to Europe and Asia in the second qtr.,not the US. It is a step down from the Thunderbolt. 7gb less internal memory.

  22. It is called the incredible S didnt you read the article?

Yes, I was pointing out that it is not a Droid brand phone and won't go to Verizon, so people don't need to even compare this phone to the TB. Some people may have been confused into thinking this is the successor to the Droid Incredible.

The droid Incredible 2 will be MUCH closer in comparison to the TB. (supposedly) Can't wait. :)

    .

I still think it could be. It has a very familiar battery cover and an Incredible is an Incredible no matter how you shake it. The Droid name was pinned to the Incredible last minute so you can't go just on the Droid name. In order to be an Incredible 2, there has to have been an Incredible 1 for lack of a better example. You get the picture.

Edit: My bad, I meant the Incredible S. It's in the same blood line forget about the above annalogy. I guess they pin the S to mean a larger screen?
