HTC Sensation jQuery/javascript and flash problems

I've just got my HTC sensation and its great although I can't seem to get javascript/jQuery to work in any of my web browsers.

I have the pre-installed browser and Firefox and both have javascript enabled but nothing seems to happen.

Also I installed flash player from the android market but it doesn't seem to work either every website i go on that has flash tells me that I need to install flash player.

Is there any settings that i need to change/enable to get jQuery/flash player to work?
