Help Incoming sms replies placed before sent text

I can't understand why this is happening, but if I send a text and the recipient replies within about 1 minute of my sent text, then their reply is placed above my text to them.

This started happening sometime when I was using Android 2.1, and has persisted with Froyo (2.2).

That can happen in some tower proximity, weather, etc situations. It's not a true glitch in your device or the firmware.

It's just that the reply to your sent message is probably hitting a split second of less than optimum transfer rate on their equipment.

I had this problem too. I think it might be an AT&T issue.

If you're rooted, ClockSync is great. Solved my problems. If not, you can still use the program to get the correct atomic time, and manually adjust the time as required.

Mine did that too. I had the time set manually for some reason, which was off by about a minute. I went to auto update and it fixed it.

I also had this problem. Fixed itself as soon as i installed a different text messaging app (both chompSMS and handcent fixed it).

Althought I prefer using the downloaded apps, I uninstalled them out of curiosity and the problem arose again

It's just a problem with the network time. Happens to me sometimes when roaming out of the country.

This happens to me ALL THE TIME on my GS3 on AT&T... I will try some of the suggested apps above to see if it resolves my problem but it didnt start happening till after the major update.
