Root [International] Root 4.3 knox (don't need warranty)

Hey guys,

I have recently received a new phone through my insurance and unfortunately it has come with the new knox enabled 4.3 firmware.

I would like to root this, install custom recovery, and install Pacman Rom. I have no problem with the root process using VRoot, but I need some clarification on what custom recovery I can use and the safest way to go about the whole process without bricking my phone due to knox.

I am not bothered about tripping my warranty counter as I have insurance and I will be getting out my contract next year.

Please could anyone shed some light on this, I would really appreciate any help?

Many many thanks in advance

You're not aware that rooting and/or flashing can void some insurance? The phone would have to lost, stolen or "oops" driven over to be sure you could get it replaced.

You can do what you want if your not bothered about warranty. It is still a "grey area" whether it voids your warranty or not. I wouldn't risk it. Rooting will invalidate some insurance though for sure.
