Is it possible to change the voice?

Hey fellas.


I know this question has been asked before (I saw it posted in previous threads) but I notice it hasn't been asked since August of this year.


Since we're heading into November, are there any way to change that horrendous robotic sounding voice in Google Navigation? I downloaded the svox voice pack and can't seem to figure out how to insert them into Google's app.

My phone is not rooted and was wondering if there are ANY ways to do this. I own a HTC Incredible S running Android 2.3.3 just so you know.

Google's Navigation is awesome except for that horrible female voice. Can anyone help me out?

If not, are there any other gps apps you recommend that work just as good with a decent voice over?
