Congrats GSM owners, enjoy the Jelly Bean goodness! Hopefully the update for Big Red isn't too far behind, they've certainly made some good steps forward in the past couple days.

Wouldn't it be great if Verizon surprised us and was on top of this quickly? That would go a long way towards making up for all of their previous delay bologna in my book. Either way, I'm excited for my Nexus to feel like new again.

Not sure how or why that would make any difference to an update though?

From what I can find online, the only difference between the two is that Takju comes with Google Wallet preinstalled. Yakju is the image for the non-US versions, since Google Wallet only works in the US.

I've only heard of 2 people(between 2 android forums) who claim to have gotten the JB update pushed to them.

Nothing here yet...but they'll get to me eventually I'm sure.

My boyfriend is on the Takju unrooted Gnex (that's what mine was as well when I got it)... no update for him yet (just made him go up two flights of stairs to look rofl).

It could be worse. In Canada I don't think any of the carriers have (or will) ever roll out 4.0.2, much less JB.

As long as you didn't flash a costum ROM you should be able to receive the OTA.
Beware though your ROOT access will be gone.

I'm sure they didn't mean that mogelijk would get it first, since mogelijk still hasn't gotten it. Instead I fear I'll be last and wonder does "several days" mean maybe 3 days or 13 days, something in between, or even something longer? "Several days" is very vague.

There is a free app called "GN official update" It takes a second to install and it will tell you which you have.


And I have yakju on an unlocked gsm phone and I did not get the update yet.

I really enjoy the android platform and have been a nexus user since the one,,

but wholy google needs to do something with there infrastructure,, either you are pushing a OTA update or your not,,,

its one of the few places apple shines over google,,

that and anyone can order of itunes,, google music is US only

I'm on bell running 4.0.4 since day 1.

I'm still trying to decide if I want to roll stock or check out a custom ROM. I'm not even worried about myself though. How is android supposed to fight off Apple and BB up here if no carriers give two shits about updating phones?
