Root Jellybean update

to clarify, are you all using the b09 rom or the backup money15 made? trying to determine if there is somehow a difference between using the cwm backup vs. the rom with regard to sending mms.

I Originally was going to use moneys than saw that THAT had been deodexed, and made flash-able, by superr.

Moneys = ZTEOffic.B09.rar

Superr = warp2_unsigned_B09_Stock.zip

k, so DimBulb, you are using warp2_unsigned_B09_Stock.zip. did you factory/data reset before flashing it?

to clarify once again DimBulb, you factory/data reset, wiped cache/dalvik, flashed warp2_unsigned_B09_Stock.zip and mms works out of the box...right?

I think that there's the right question to ask me. Not being a wise-guy. I had to Google MMS earlier, and afterwards, realized that I probably don't know but 5, maybe 10 percent of the Android operating system and my phone all together.

So, MMS, seems to mean, sending a text and attaching a picture or the like, (e-mail on the PC, got it down for years and years etc.)

I've probably not sent more than 18 or 20 text messages altogether, since last November or so. This is my first smart phone. Yea, even now, I have to struggle to understand most of the abbreviations that get kicked around so easily.

I sent myself a text with the Warp Sequent yesterday after getting my apps and contacts installed on B09. I received it in my g-mail, and as a text.

I hope that is the answer you wanted.

MMS=MultiMedia Message.

Picture message, is what he means.

Well, than it's true, I DO actually have to read a thing 13 or 14 time's to actually understand.

I'll get the hang of it, 2, maybe 3 year's top's.

So, a picture message, is something I have no clue if I can do, or can't do, since I've never tried, ... and wouldn't know how to.

There shouldn't be a difference they should be the same I tried both versions and both already had myboostmobile in hidden menu.....the original b09 I uploaded months ago had the correct settings but couldn't be factory reset otherwise it would break mms and change hidden menu to Sprint one but the one I uploaded last week should have no problems at all with mms or factory reset...it's the official update I had to go to b07 and stock recovery to install it...so it should run pretty much flawless

Start a new text message. Next to the box where you put the body of the text (not the recipient box!) is a paper clip icon.

Click that and attach an image from the Gallery app. Add a text body and send it.

That just went like greased egg whites through the system.

Picture attachment to a text, worked like I was a 13 year old girl, (which I'm not) in class behind the teachers back!

right on guys. thanks for the info. i needed to make sure the rom i made wasn't going to put a hex on anyone :) sounds like it is good to go out of the box for everyone but me...i can live with that.

I just got off the phone with Boost and was told that the Sequent will definitely get jellybean.

There will be no upgrade to Jelly Bean for any of the three Boost Mobile

yea that seems a little excessive. and as far as trusting them, who knows. id say its probably gonna happen eventually, unless it takes so long they just give up and forget about us. id surely trust boost more than i would zte, but i still wouldnt start holding your breath

oh we are, but people keep basically starting the same thread over when all you really need to do is add to existing ones by the same name. its not a problem really it just helps keep things neat and organized

If I was a moderator I would delete the duplicate threads and merge into an official Sequent Jellybean Upgrade discussion thread.

Dizzle,

Didn't really need my coffee after getting blitzed by that signature of yours, wowzer's!

Got a question, and it's right on topic. I'm running the rooted stock B09 now. Is this going to be able to recieve an OTA upgrade from Boost, if and when they DO send Jelly Bean?

Or, will I/we, need to revert to UN-rooted, stock to be "recognized" by Boost, and get Jelly Bean sent and received? How does that happen?

I'm not completely sure but u will probably get the update notification but u will have to flash stock recovery(junkies tool) to install it....u don't need to Unroot but the update will unroot u and hopefully we can all get root back after the jellybean update
