Okay guys this has been somewhat of an half and half topic..some people agree with donating to a developer who specializes in building Cyanogen..some people don't.. So this is for those of us who can donate anything you can spare in hopes of getting Jmz an Evo v.
If you don't like the idea if donating for this cause then please do not clutter the thread with your opinions.
Our current situation is or was a matter of a bootable AOSP kernel which we now have with Anthrax, it may need some minor adjusting but should in theory work. Second matter is that of a setup and know how to build from source..which i have not seen someone step forward able to do so yet..
Not much to say about Jmz, his record speaks for itself. He currently builds Cyanogenmod 9 and 10 on two different phones, HTC Evo 4G and HTC One V
I have spoken with Jmz about building for us and his response in so many words was he would be delighted to build for another phone. the important thing being that he has the phone. which isn't much to ask for.
Now. our challenge is to raise the money in order for Jmz to buy the phone..only what you can spare, or what you see reasonable considering the amount of work Jmz will have on his plate..
How this will work:
Below i will link the Paypal account of Jmz..If you see so to Donate then you will Paypal send your X amount donation to Jmz. Jmz will then pm me the name of the sender and confirmation as well. I will then post in this thread the name of the person who donated and amount unless he/she wishes to remain anonymous and that case i will only link the amount donated. When we have raised the money he will buy the phone and help us out
This isn't something that will happen over night, and most will be waiting till payday to shoot Jmz some love. like myself

i mean alot of ppl would prolly like that at least the person that your saying will dev is actually agreeing...
not saying your not to be trusted, but I like hearing things from the horses mouth... lol...

Just so everyone knows. Yeah I'm down for this. I would get one on my own but the military just don't pay enough. Lol. Please make note in your donation if you choose to, that its for evo v and whether you want to stay anonymous or not. I will report to Johnny all. If you want to stay anonymous I will only tell him amount.
And for a little piece of mind someone donated to me a evo 4g and I still have it. Even after getting cm9 on that almost 100%. If you want to check up on me I have a lot more history on xda. My username there is jmztaylor

ALSO!!! I say you guys do a count down, like how much would the total be for the Evo V (including your sales tax) then everytime someone does donate, subtract it, and edit the op so that we all know how much left is need at the top, instead of having to do math on our own.

lol i think paypal somehow times out..so even though its a legit link it changes after so long
300+ sales tax..what do you guys want our target amount to be?

the exact amount needed!!! lol...
ask him what's his sales tax, and add that to $299.99
so this way it's an exact dollar amount and not an estimated amount, and ppl might be more inclined to help if they know it's an EXACT amount needed, ya know...
