logitech m585 bluetooth mouse won't connect

I have a galaxy tab s5e. I opened it today, and bluetooth was toggled off. The mouse was connected before, but won't connect now. My bluetooth keyboard is connected.

The mouse is also connected to my PC. I just had to change the receiver yesterday, and use the unifying software to pair the mouse. Works fine on my desktop. is the receiver change responsible part of the problem?

I'm not familiar with a multi device mouse but use a Logitech mouse with unifying software. I once had it lose connection and could not get it to pair again. I finally tried a different USB port and it married right up. You might try that though I can't explain why it worked for me.

The mouse works fine with the desktop. It won't connect with the tablet. Are you saying that the usb port on the desktop migth be the problem, even tho the mouse works with the desktop?

I was taking a wild guess that switching ports at the failed connected device might buy you something. I'm not at all familiar with a Logitech mouse that will connect to multiple devices. I doubt I'm being the least bit helpful.

If all fails, I would forget all connections and start from scratch setting them up again.

Ahhhhhhhhh I just went through that troubleshooting myself, do you have the correct usb plug in for the wireless mouse, most does come with a unified USB that connects with the lable, also you can download and search for your mouse's model, Been sticking with my Marathon Mouse for years.

have you tried to forget the mouse on your tablet and then re-connect the mouse back to the device?

I discovered the answer on my own, and had to tell Logitech tech support how to do it after I discovered the instructions they gave me thru email were incomplete.

Their instructions:

Set your Logitech device in ‘pairing mode’

• In order for the computer to see your Logitech device, you need to put your Logitech device in discoverable mode or pairing mode.
• Make sure your device is turned ON
• Hold down the Bluetooth/Connectivity button for three seconds, until the LED starts blinking rapidly. This indicates that the device is ready for pairing.

I had already explained to them that the mouse would not "connect", It was already "paired', and was displayed in the paired list.

I decided to remove it from being "paired", start from scratch, and then use their instructions. That worked right away.

Thanks for the info too, for those who are wondering, I used logitech keyboards and a number of keyboards for about twenty one years now.
