Help Lost Market app after 2.2 upgrade on my HTC desire

Hi all.

Two weeks ago, after upgrading to 2.2 on my HTC Desire I lost the Market app - clicking on the short-cut produced an error and the market app has disappeared from the list of software.
Also, I don't seem to be able to install new programmes via app marketplace websites any more. I guess this is linked to the missing market app.

How can I get it back?

Hmm.... i wud recommend you re-install the OS, sounds like a software issue dude

I was thinking a reset was a last resort. after looking around on-line I'm seeing it's a widespread problem affecting my handset:

I can't find any other recommended solution other than a factory reset. What a cock-up!

Do a backup before you hard format so you can get ur stuff back sorry dude
