market question for my htc hero (new to forums please be nice (: )

so i just bought my htc hero yesterday and already have a sligth bug, problem... when i am on wifi at my house (only roaming signal) and i get into the marketplace and go to download a widget it won't it sits there saying it is preparing to download and that is it, no download happens.

BUT if i restart my phone and then go straight into the market and download it works perfect. its like a session timed out or something if i don't go to the market for more than 5 min then it wont let me download anything.

anyone have any advice?

This seems to be a bit of a "bug". It occassionally happens to most people. Just go into Google Talk, let it log on, and them come out again. that works for most people.

Does it get stuck on 'Starting Download'? If so, peterc10's tip will fix it

Yep, making sure you are logged into Gtalk seems to fix this.
