Hit the power button to wake up the phone then just hit menu to unlock it. Instead of unlocking it on screen. Bug or intended?

It is intended. I read it in the instructions somewhere, which is how I first learned how to do it.

  4. HTC made it like that. Just incase you don't feel like swiping, the menu button is a bit easier.

Would be nice if the joystick button turned the screen back on instead of having to press the power.

There's a way to disable it (I read it on this forum a few days ago) but I can't seem to find the post and I don't remember what the steps were. Google searching was no help, apparently this existed in previous HTC models and was not able to be disabled without using an app or enabling a lock pattern.

Just noticed this on mine...any updates? I'm not sure if I like this easier unlock method yet, but I would like to know if there's a way to turn it off.
