Root [Merit] remove accounts from rooted merit

After researching, all I could find was system/data remove account.db
My system/data folder is blank.

I am passing my Merit down to my daughter... when I go to my setting to remove account, I get the message... account is required by some applications. Can only be removed by resetting phone to factory defaults. Since the phone is rooted, I do not want to take a chance and reset it to factory defaults. Or is it safe to do?

ISSUE SOLVE: USED ROOT EXPLORER instead of File Explorer.

If you have a recovery installed you could also "wipe data/factory reset" and insure it's a clean phone...
