Help MMS problem with 2.2

I upgraded to 2.2 about 2 days ago, and I just ran into this problem, I'm using the stock app for messaging. I tried sending a photo to a friend and it sent, but she wasnt able to view it (she has a stock droid), I then tried sending a different photo to another friend but it wouldnt send, I got a message error saying "message file type is corrupt" or something close to that. it kept resending and wouldnt stop until I put my phone into airplane mode and deleted the message thread.

anyone else having this problem?
I'm thinking of doing a factory reset but not sure how to do it.

ok so upon messing around with it, it would seem that I have to type text with the image for it to send. a simple work around, but I'm still wondering why this happened.
