Motion detection camera app for S4

Hey all,

I have an old S4 that I want to use as a security camera. I've tried several apps, some that work, and a few that are utter crap. However, even the ones that work will drain the battery faster than it can be charged. Even with it plugged in directly to the wall charger, I will check on it after several hours, and the phone has turned itself off because it ran out of juice. The battery in the phone seems decent. I can leave it running for a few days without it dying.

Any suggestions on a good app or some other trick?

Running the camera all the time, along with the CPU continually processing the motion detection software probably will be quite a power drain. I suspect the phone is getting rather warm as well. What sort of charger and cable are you using, a 2A minimum, good quality one, like Samsung original?

Sure, that all makes sense, but so are there apps that use less power? Is it possible to get my phone to be a perpetual motion detection camera? Have others gotten it to work on their phones?

For the record, yes, I am using the Samsung plug that came with my S4.
