is there a reason that you can only move certain apps? i figured you could move any downloaded app.

can you guys tell me what is the benefit of moving app2cd card? b/c I was thinking god forbid your sd goes bad, it's also where you backup your apps so if the app is on the sd and your sd goes bad, you're screwed aren't you? i know there's a slim chance of that happening but it does happen.

Reason is simple. Relatively limited space on phone. Depending on how many apps you have, you can start affecting phone performance. Moving apps to card solves this.

The extreme chance card goes bad, just redownload your apps. The market always remembers what you paid for.

I assume this is talking about the unofficial froyo for evo? If so, you can use Titanium back up to move most app to sd. I'm not sure why this is limited in the application manager. But anyway thats the program I use to move things to SD card. Just open Titanium and go to Backup/Restore, tap and hold on an app and do a Move to SD card. Again not all apps will move but most will.
