If you've pre-ordered the Note9, then it's on the way and due around August 24th. So what do you do in the meantime? Get ready to move in! There are several things you can do: I am working on thinning out the photos on my microSD card, just so I can have more storage when I put it into the new phone. Make sure your existing phone has the Smart Switch app by Samsung - it will allow you to transfer almost everything from your phone to the Note9. Move your microSD card to the Note9. Make sure you know how your home screens are set up... you will probably need to redo them. Especially the widgets. You may need to log back into your apps - if you use two-factor authentication for security (I strongly recommend it), you will need to verify the new device. If you are getting rid of your old phone, make sure you uninstall the apps for which you have a license for x-number of devices. De-authorize the device with apps like Google Play Music and Amazon Prime Video, etc. When you are confident that you have everything moved over, perform TWO factory resets on the old device. Make sure there is nothing left of YOU on it. Box it up and sell it, trade it, give it... whatever. Welcome to the Note9!
