i rooted my triumph with gingerbreak and root explorer. i started deleting some bloatware. everything is good. then i wanted to remove virgin's "download" app so i end up deleting the download apk that allows the phone to download from the droidmarket!! now i cant download from the market. to make it worse, without stoping and trying to find help, i figure i'll do a factory reset on my phone and maybe that will put things back to normal. that removed all apps i previously installed and now i dont have gingerbreak and root explorer either. does anyone know how i can fix this? thank you.

Did you make a Nandroid backup? If not you can always flash a new ROM. I did the same thing you did so I just Restored my phone with a nandroid backup.

Before doing the factory reset you could have just downloaded the Stock Rom from here,

http://androidforums.com/triumph-al...eodex-roms-triumph-now-resets-splash-img.html

Unzipped the zip file

took the download.apk you deleted from the system/app folder.

used root explorer to move the download.apk to the system/app folder on your phone

set permissions on the download.apk like the rest of the apk's in the system/app folder on your phone.

reboot!

you can probably still do this now.

you would just need to install a terminal emulator if you no longer have root then follow these directions as the Triumph is Rooted out of the box, Ginger-break is not actually needed. You will find links below to download these 2 apps. You will need to move the files to your phone to install after downloading.

terminal emulator download

Root Triumph with terminal emulator instructions.

then use this free root file manager to move the download.apk into the system/app folder on your phone and set permissions.
