Network Communication for game aps

I am new to driod, in fact just got my phone last week. As i am looking for aps, i decided to come here for help and advice. while looking at http://androidforums.com/android-ap...ps-avoid-viruses-guide-those-new-android.html i read about the permissions aps will ask for. are there any good reasons why a game that you play alone would need permissions for internet access (Network Communication:
full internet access)? Two games I would like to install have this permission.
