Help New memory card - what's the best way to transfer everything ?

Title pretty much says it all.

Picked up a 16gig MicroSD at Best buy today. I want to transfer everything from the existing 4gig to it. I tried Microsoft's Synctoy but something isn't perfect - what's the preferred way ?

Hook up to PC via USB cable and in disk drive mode. Drag/drop card contents to PC desktop. Remove old card, put in new card, format new card, drag/drop contents from PC desktop onto new card. Change from disk drive to charge only. Disconnect.

Note:
You should see both SD and internal memory show up on PC as drives. Make sure you're dealing with the SD card and not the internal.

Okay - maybe this is a silly question - but.....

Should I unhook the USB cord from the phone when I remove the old card and put in the new card and format it ?

Doubt it would really matter. If you want to be ultra-safe, power down the phone for the card swap. They can get a little catty about removing cards when powered up although ive never had any major issues with it
