NFL 2O25

The draft starts this Thursday night, outside of the first round, it's kind of a lackluster draft.
Really, it's pretty typical. Most of the talent that will see the field and make an impact will go in the first round every year. Not saying there isn't some talent hidden in the later rounds but it is as rare as a first rounder being a bust. Tom Brady was drafted 199th over all.

So glad the Jaguars traded up with Cleveland and got Travis Hunter. This kid is a tremendous talent and as we know Cleveland does nothing but ruin guys careers. Not saying the Jaguars are anything great, but it's a hell of a lot better than going to the Browns.

Another this didn't age well by Coach Prime given his son just got drafted by the Browns. Beggers can't be choosers at this point. Mel Kiper should be embarrassed given he had him as his #1 overall player and he went #144.

Something cool... A builder I worked for, for many years, had his son sign with the Colts as an undrafted free agent. I remember when the kid was born. He had quite an athletic career growing up and now he has a shot at the pro level. I hope he makes it. His father passed away shortly after I retired. I know he would be so damn proud of his son. Root for the kid.. he's a good guy.

My son is a huge fan of the Steelers. He's been lamenting over their QB problems since big Ben retired. He hoped Russel Wilson would be the answer but as we all know now... Russ can't do it alone. And then they let him walk. They were trying to land Aaron Rodgers but he has held out but just recently signed with the Steelers. I can't see that Mr drama is going to fix anything either. My son called to give me the signing news when it was just announce. I said good luck with that. He said at least Aaron is better than Mason Rudolph (the team backup qb) My son was the starting QB for two years for his state winning 6A school years ago... so I answered, you are better than Mason Rudolph :) He had no reply.
It will be interesting to see how Rodgers does in Pittsburg. I'm not optimistic but he might get them into the playoffs.

It's funny hearing old Steeler QB Terry Bradshaw talk about Rodgers, he is definitely not a fan. Guess Rodgers knew not to even ask if he could borrow Terry's old retired jersey number ( 12 ).
