Root No recovery folder in Rhyme

Hi,

I have a HTC Rhyme which I decided to root and install a custom ROM because the phone had become really really slow and even factory reset was not helping it.

I tried towelroot, 1clickroot which did not help but was able to root with Kingo Android Root.

My problem is that I can't flash a custom recovery. If I try to boot into the existing recovery, it shows a white screen with green Android and it just stays there forever.

Here is the sequence of steps that I did:

1. Unlocked the bootloader - no issues (it factory reset my phone as well)
2. Rooted the phone
---a. towelroot - failed
---b. 1clickroot - failed
---c. Kingo Android Root - passed
3. Install custom recovery (CWM from an old thread, file name htc_rhyme_vzw_unofficial_clockworkmod_recovery_v5.0.2.8)
---a. Using the command fastboot flash recvery - shows passed, but can't boot into recovery
---b. Using flash_image recovery - fails to find the recovery partition

I noticed that my phone does not have /boot and /recovery.

Any help is appreciated.

Regards
Aman
