Not Sure What I've Done

Hi all, I'm a newbie on here, like the forum

Anyways, tried to root my phone, but didn't go well, so unrooted it and everything back to normal.....

However, I'm left with a yellow triangle and dont know how to get rid, any help? my info is

network 3
csc I9100H3GLP2
PHONE: I9100NELP2
PDA I9100XXLPQ

any help will be appreciated thank you

Welcome to the forum Shellbell1471 and thanks for joining.

The yellow triangle won't do anything to harm your phone it is just an indication that your phone is rooted. So since its still there I guess you still have root access. To unroot your phone you will have to flash some stock firmware.

What exactly went wrong after rooting? If you are still interested in rooting I'm sure I'll be able to help you out.

Once i rooted it, it showed superuser but wouldnt give me access so i unrooted as it also affected my wifi (wouldn't connect).

I am then 90% sure i flashed some stock firmware too.

I love to have it rooted, but i dont want to mess the phone up where i'll end up making it unusable.

I'd suggest using this guide to root

Just make sure you are clear on everything before starting and you should be fine.

If you are unsure on any of the steps just ask here or in the root guide thread and me or one of our other seasoned rooters will be happy to help you out.

right, i followed everything as on the guide to dummies and i dont know how but to me it gets "semi rooted". Ok the superuser shows up, but press on it and is empty....none of the root apps work either.

It might be a problem with the cfroot kernel. Try flashing this custom kernel
SiyahKernel for SGS2 | "One kernel to rule them all"

Download the 3.1rc2 .tar and flash with Odin the same as you did before.
