What are the ramifications of a metal case? Good? Bad?
Wouldn't that make it heavy?
No, we're here because we thought this would be the new shiny that had all the features we've been longing for. I don't know that any of us are brand-committed. If I were a lesser person I'd insert a snarky comment about Apple iPhans but I won't

We're here because of the Nexus brand! That's all now! If it is not a nexus it won't have ICS too, don't even delude yourself. First ICS device in the universe will be nexus with poor google experience. It will, don't deny. . . . .
The biggest emotions about this device are about the NEXUS - and that's what are we waiting here now.
You have repeated what I wrote, but you don't understand only the Nexus will be first device including 'all the features you've been longing for'.
Apparently, Droidguy might turn out to be a tad bit more credible than what we originally thought.
Tech Hog posted this yesterday, which I read and fully agreed with:
A Samsung Prime gets a hands on? Not so fast
First of all, we're not all here because of the Nexus brand. A bunch of us came here because Verizon passed on the SGSII; we would have gotten that, happily.
Second of all, yes I believe that ICS will be on the Prime when it does release, but Google is not always the first one with new software as you state. OG Droid was the first with 2.0 even though it wasn't a Nexus device. And honeycomb was first on the Xoom, and I haven't seen a "nexus" tablet anywhere. So that logic is seriously faulty.
And the only feature that a possible Nexus Prime will have over any other phone will most likely be ICS, unless it will shock us all and ship with 2.0 Ghz and 2 GB of RAM, with a second-gen LTE chipset. Vigor seems to be keeping up with it in all respects except OS and a tiny bit smaller screen.
By your own logic, you will get Nexus even if it comes out with Gingerbread, no LTE, single core, and a non-HD screen. Because, hey, at least it's the Nexus 3. Most, if not all, of us will pass on the Nexus Prime if it doesn't live up to expectations and falls flat upon release.
You didn't understand. Your logic is faulty. No offense to you, but I think you should stop for a while and think about one only thing:
As you know everyone are very impatient about next Android ICS which is told to merge Gingerbread and Honeycomb. As we all loved honeycomb UI and it's improvements we could not get it on our devices. And now there is coming to our devices, and a lot lot more than only new UI. So that's why Nexus is most interesting now - because it will give us a taste of newest Android performance. This is the first, and main point.
AND - THE SECOND thing is that - Nexus made us more and more excited as it is reeally high-end specified.
Now with all this packed goodies it is worth buying. And I tell you - if it was not Nexus, and didn't have an ICS on board you would like to buy Vigor or another specs-similar device, because it will make this handset the same as the other - with it's performance! It will not make any difference!
BUT YOU ARE HERE EVERYDAY - talking, and you can't wait till this is announced because it is really different from the other similar phones - it has ICS, and you know - if you want it with that OS it must be Nexus! If it wasn't you will be not as interested as you are.
Am I righy? ;> Tell me.
Jungle, do you work for the Prime manufacturer? I see you just joined this site and wondered why you are so adamant about Nexus.
This forum is a great group of people, we like to support each other (and also share juicy gossip!) - no picking fights

Then today they posted this:
Nexus Prime hands on – It is the real deal and with a Metal Case | TechHog.com
We'll see what droidguy comes up with today. Don't know why he couldn't have posted the whole stupid thing from the beginning.
Still looks very fishy, but if one skeptical guy talked to Droidguy and is now convinced, it makes me at least a little curious.
And if Prime does have a metal chassis, that is good news.

No offense but no ones logic on this board is faulty. We all have our own way of seeing things and share it with each other.
Don't get trapped in trying to get some of us hard heads to change the way we think.
We like hearing others views. The real prize is seeing who was right in the end.
Your saying his logic is faulty is heard and respected as your opinion but perhaps not agreed with.
We all agree to disagree eh?

I've apologised to all, because I didn't see that everyone on this forum is waiting for this phone from another reason. It was my fault, I thought some peaple don't realize the main point of waiting for it. And it was just my opinion. Huhhuh.
I am only here because I am interested in Samsungs next big thing.
Verizon passed on the SGSII saying they will release something better.
I am more interested in the hardware of the Samsung Nexus then the OS.
I don,t cares if it has Ginger bread or Ice cream sandwich on it.
Because I will put a differant OS on it just like most others in the phone hacking world.
At this time in the ball game. The SGSII is still the boss.
it has been holding ground for a long time in the real world, but for us here in the states we always get phones at the end of their life cycle.
So the Nexus what ever needs to happen soon, with ICS or without.
