A phone behind a phone? really? talk about reaching for a headline...
Edit: sorry r4yN. I realized after posting this it looks like it might have been a shot at you when I was really taking a shot at GSM arena.

all I'm saying is this: Its almost the end of september and nothing official has come out. Not even FCC testing. If november 3rd really is the release date, they better get something to that office with in the next week or so. at this point everything anybody says is a complete waste of time and basically put up on their site in hopes to increase ad revenue.
Vigor is looking more and more better to me if nothing more solid comes out by its release.

Hey all, I haven't gone through the entire thread yet, but I will be doing that shortly.
Samsung Nexus Prime…err Galaxy Nexus…err Confusion – More Details Emerge About the First Ice Cream Sandwich Device - Droid Life: A Droid Community Blog
Hey all, I haven't gone through the entire thread yet, but I will be doing that shortly.
Just a question: What is the opinion in general on Prime being Nexus? Kellex on Droid Life seems to be hinting that Prime and Galaxy Nexus are two separate devices that will be launching within a few weeks of each other.
The Galaxy Nexus had better be E-P-I-C. That's all I have to say about it.
My opinion is that there is a Nexus device and a "Charge 2" device. Verizon customers are NOT going to get the "real" Nexus we will get something similiar to the Charge which means we are not getting ICS first.
No Nexus on Verizon. I've already prepared for the bad news. That's my opinion on this whole thing.
So you don't put any stock in the info from Kellex?
Would VZW be so stupid as to deny us both the SGS2 AND the Nexus???
As if we're not already incensed with TheDroidGuy, here they are cited as having sat down WITH Verizon corporate testers... and the resulting conversation isn't pretty:
Was the Nexus Prime a mix up? They might be two seperate Devices | AndroidSPIN
Take it as you will, amigos. But if Vigor actually trumps this long-awaited device, we may have to eat some crow from the Bionic crew
Btw Kellex changed his response in that screenshot that was posted in this thread.
can you be more specific? What screenshot, what response? This is a pretty long thread
They need to do a Nexus where all of the manufactures contribute their best tech.
For instance:
LG gives a 4.15-inch 1280*720 AHIPs display
Sony [Ericsson] gives a Exmor R based camera
Samsung gives the Exynos processor (although I think the OMAP4470 could be better)
And Motorola can give laptop docks and whatnot.
That would make for the start of a pretty sweet phone.
After thinking about the Charge and its numbering, The next Charge would be numbered SCH-i520 not i515.
I heard those same words on the Bionic in the Bionic waiting threads.

LG's AH-IPS is great LCD display. But I think Samsung is on top of display tech too. Just found their display roadmap news here.
Samsung to start mass production of 300ppi+ Super AMOLED displays in Q2 2012, right for the Galaxy S III
I hear you guys, but you're missing my point. The magnitude of the difference in model numbers isn't signficant. Look at the various Verizon device numbering for Samsung:
Samsung Fascinate (Galaxy S): i500
Samsung Continuum (Galaxy S series): i400
Samsung Droid Charge (4G): i510
Samsung Stratosphere (4G slider): i405
Samsung Prime????: i515
Where's the pattern??? There isn't one.
If the Nexus Prime is indeed too big for my liking, it would be nice if LG made another vanilla Android phone, like they did with the Optimus 2X. Of all of the manufacturers, LG is in the best position to make a phone closest to my idea of perfection:
~4.2-inch 1280x720 display (buttonless face)
OMAP4470 processor
Nice Camera, HDMI out (via USB port), large battery, etc
Is anyone else with me, or do most actually like this growing trend of screen sizes?
