Ugh, well that call to *611 couldn't have gone worse.
First, I asked about the 3G to 4G upgrade discount, and, after telling me that yes, I can upgrade my phone from 3G to 4G (obviously I can), then told me that she saw the $100 discount - and wasn't running anymore.
When she asked if I had any more questions, I said I did, but wouldn't bother her with the same questions about the Nexus that she had probably been asked about 20 times already today. She said that actually she hadn't been asked about it (I guess we haven't completely penetrated the depths of Verizon Customer Service...giggity) and that she hadn't seen it or know about it (really?). She then said hang on a second, and I got my hopes up that I would finally have information first hand to believe in. She then came back on and said that her colleague heard her mention the Nexus, and that it wouldn't be available until the first of the year, at least on Verizon. At that point I was dumbfounded, and dehydrated from all the salt, and after saying I hoped she was wrong, hung up. She went through her pitch of signing up for updates, of which there are none of course, so it looks like not everyone is on the same page within Verizon - or some just don't care and are telling us when it is out while others stick to the company line. Anyone else get someone who says it isn't coming? Or am I the only lucky one?
