Old TV style Animation

How to get Old TV style animation for my android device?But I don't want to use any apps for it i thought I could use a power button.I saw my friends do it but then I noticed that all of them who has Screen Off animation has Sony Xperia,can I only have it if I have Sony Xperia or other device I have LG Optimus L7 P705.

"Old TV style animation" was individual cels (yes, it's spelled with one "l") shown at a 30fps rate (so every other field was blank). It shouldn't be too difficult to write an app to do that, but by hand with the power button? I hope your friends own shares in the power button company.
