Phone storage full. Delete some files to free space

LGL75C Version 2.3.4 , Build # GRJ22, SW version LGL75CV1.
I have deleted everything but my pictures and have 3.43GB available.

Why can't I send any texts???

I turned the phone off and removed the battery, and that did no good.

What do I need to do to get my Texting back ??????

You have 3.43GB of ferr INTERNAL storage? Or free storage on your external SD card (which doesn't count)? You need free INTERNAL storage. The external SD card is just to store files, not to use for texting.
