guys,if you can spare a little, please send it to rhcp011235 towards getting him an xtc clip. it may allow him to use the leaked PG05DIAG.nb0 file to get us a true radio s-off,and unlock the sim card for global use.

to me,this is an extremely worthwhile cause... i just sent him some.

I've never been exactly sure about this, what does radio s-off get us that we don't have and what would unlocking the simcard for global use do for us, we don't have a gsm radio?

Sorry if i just am missing something obvious but could you please explain?

EDIT: Thanks for the answer, will donate

honestly, the difference is not much to the naked eye, lol, youre not missing anything obvious. our permanent patch hboot pretty effectively blocks the hboot from being flashed. a true radio s-off will let whatever hboot you want flash, while still remaining s-off.

so the end result is simlar(you dont lose s-off)

the way it is currently working, the radio is saying "hey! im s-on" but the patched hboot has its hands over its ears and is going "la la la la la la your s-off,nothing to see here, ima flash wateva i want!"

in a sense,a true radio s-off will take away the lies and deception and the internal struggle and conflict going on within the phone between radio and hboot.(ok,maybe thats a lil dramatic :D)

if you had an incredible or an evo, what they had was a radio s-off with unrevokeds forever tool. you could change the hboot if you wanted, and flash whole ruus, the bootloader would overwrite, and the phone would remain s-off until you ran their s-on tool.

at least, thats the simplest way i can think of to explain it,hope it helps :)

i dont mean to imply that our patched hboot is inadequate. it will protect us just fine, i just think the radio s-off is better(internal conflict is never good :p).

your right, without a gsm radio the TB will never be a true world phone, and i dont really care much about that part, anyway. tho i guess some might... as you could then potentially use it on cdma frequencys other than verizons.

    Done and done.

I donated for other reasons, but he more than deserves it for the work he's done already, not to mention what he's currently working on.

Done. Not for the reasons you listed, since I don't fully understand, but because all the help I get here has made my phone truly wonderful.
