Please help... LG Revolution vs Samsung Droid Charge
Can someone please break down the ups and downs of the LG Revolution vs Samsung Droid Charge, what device they like better and why?

Where is the Rev better. Where is the Charge better.

    ~thanks

How much better is the Charge's display over the Rev?

Do the 900 benchmark scores of the Charge really fall that far behind the 2000 scores of the Rev?

Can the Bing apps be removed without breaking the phone?

Is the Charge DLNA certified and does it matter?

    Is the Charge bootloader unlocked?

Does the charge have the same 3.5-millimeter audio jack as the Rev?

If I wanted to phone to watch movies, steam movies to TV over HDMI, play games and text what phone would you chose between the two?

Some would say that the Charge has the best display on any mobile display. It's debatable, but there's plenty of evidence to support it. It's the first non-PenTile OLED in awhile. That alone makes it an outstanding display.

Don't go off of benchmark scores, although those scores do a decent job of showing maximum potential performance. Of course, the only way you're going to truly see a 2x boost from the LG's dual-core CPU is if you're encoding two simultaneous files (something people RARELY do on a cellphone, even with just one file), or if you're running two heavy applications at once. Even today's best multi-threaded PC games generally only eek out an additional 30-50% performance from a 2nd core. So, while the LG is technically more future proof, it's nowhere near twice as fast in real world applications. It's up to you to determine how much an extra 30-50% real world CPU power over the next year or two matters.

As of today, I don't know (haven't had enough interest in the phone to check the root status). Once rooted, I'm sure you can.

Are you planning to use DLNA? If yes, then it matters. If not, then it doesn't matter. It really is that simple. Regardless, yes, it is DLNA certified.

    No idea.

I would assume yes. Are you going to a VZW store in person? If so, you should be able to see this before you buy it.

Honestly, of all the phones out right now, it's the Incredible 2 that interests me the most, so I'd go with neither.

If it's anything like the first Incredible, it's a USB to composite out and it only does 480p.

Basically, the Incredible 2 is not a monster phone. It's a very competent phone with an excellent software suite (HTC Sense) on it. If you want a phone to just "work" without modifying it, I always recommend HTC. Although for what it's worth, spec wise, it's very comparable to the Charge. Each phone wins in different areas (CPU/RAM/GPU) but not to a point where there's a drastic difference. It's the screen/4G that makes the key difference here.

I wish more than four people polled for the better of Charge or the Revolution.
