Help problem with benchmark and phone cpu!??!

I installed darky's rom 9.2 extreme. Then i downloaded quadrant to see the benchmark. The system info says that my phone is running at 1000Mhz, i compared it with a Galaxy S running on 400Mhz and what i saw is that my phone at 1000Mhz is slower than the one at 400Mhz. The benchmark i got was always around 1000, and the other phone was always above 1100 (quadrant benchmark). Than i turned down my phone to 400Mhz to see what will happen, and got 50% less speed on the benchmark.

Any suggestions, tips or something? i freekin' furious right now :S

Benchmark doesn't actually mean anything. Surely you should know that.

i was worried because it had stock rom, i have darky's and thought that it should run twice as better. But if you say that benchmarks don't mean anything, i will stick with that but i'm still worried
