Hi Y'all

Thanks in advance for useful advice yesterday I attempted to root my Xperia Ray with this method:

androidflip.com/unlock-xperia-phones-bootloader-without-losing-drm-data-track-id-working/

Unfortunately I ended up with just the sony ericsson boot screen coming up then going off and coming up again and so on.

any help mucho appreciated.

So I believe I need to flash software onto phone. Any suggetions? Any good links?

yep,you need to flash your rom to .42

1.download .42 xperia ray "ftf" file(google it)
2.download flash tool & install it
3.put your ftf firmware file in "Flashtool\firmwares"
4.connect your phone in flash mode (lower volume button and connect your usb cable to pc)
****note-not fastboot-mode*****
5.click flash icon in flash tool
6.select flashmode
7.select your firmware file
8.tick wipe cache and install
***at first time your phone will take more time to boot****
9.root your phone with zerg-rush method
10.unlock your bootloader with test-point method

NOW YOU ARE FREE TO CHANGE YOUR KERNAL TO OVER CLOCK YOUR PHONE
