Qik sideloaded.... Video chat is a go!

I spoke to my brother-in-law via Tango, he was on an iPhone and neither of us had any issues with audio quality or video quality. He is too cheap to buy Qik so I couldn't test that.

Tango will have the high-pitched noise if you're too close together.

I installed Qik and tried it out. It took me a while to get sound on either phone, and when I did, it wasn't speakerphone. Also, the other person's vid/pic was upside down. And on both devices, receiving a regular phone call would automatically trigger speakerphone. I uninstalled this morning. Come on, Skype!

I just installed Qik but havent been able to test it yet. It's slightly upsetting that there is not a good Video Chat program for android and it's been what almost a year since the EVO came out .

What sucks is that Tango audio is jacked up. My wife and I can't even hear each other or it sounds like crazy feedback (we were not in the same place when we tried the call).

If Qik works then that's better. I assume Skype for Android video will be out soon enough.

It's too bad Fring doesn't work with the FFC. It seems like the quality is better.

I got Qik to work making call with my TB to my tablet with audio but upsidedown and also my friends EVO but no sound and upside down

Been chatting with my sister and niece on their iPods since day one. Works well.

Also worked fine on TB to TB chat.

Yahoo keeps force closing on me all the time, i got qik installed, have to try it

I dont have a TB (Yet) but i have been using fring with my droid and the wifes Iphone and it works pretty good.. Seems like she cant hear me all that well but i hear her fine. I have to turn my speaker down.
