I am a very proud owner of an EVO and never had a phone that utilizes an SD card.

Is making directories as simple as adding a folder when it is connected to the computer? I want to create separate folders ringtones, music, and videos, and thought some of you Android veterans would have the answer.

    Thanks in advance!

    Yes. Though I'm no veteran.

I'm told you need to put ringtones in Audio>Ringtones for them to show up correctly.

Yes, make a folder tree like this

    SDcard
    >Media
    >>Audio
    >>>Notifications (alert tones for notifications go in here)
    >>>Ringtones (ringtones for phonecalls go in here)

And yes, it's identical to making folders on your computer.
