Please forgive the possibly silly question.

I'm currently researching code required to build an app of mine, it's very simple, on opening the app, a list appears, on tapping part of the list some information is displayed, that's it.

The information that will be displayed could be potentially quite lengthy to a point where scrolling will probably be necessary.

My question is, what would be the best way of displaying the resulting information?

I'm very new to this and starting simple as you can see. I've got my list just need a way of displaying the resulting information on tapping a list element, problem is, I don't know what to search for!

    Hope you can help.

    Thanks.

    Hey MattThing,

You can use a TextView and set it to scrollable to hold your information. I'm not sure if there is any limit to the data it can hold, but should suffice for most needs, there's more info here: TextView | Android Developers
