It's the worst. My old car's engine died in November, so I borrowed my parent's spare beater for a few months until I got my current job. I also had to move home while I searched for work. During that 1 month period I was at home, their primary car and my sister's car both broke down, so it became 4 people driving the beater that I was driving until we got the parts in to fix the other two cars.
Thank heavens for buying many old cars over one new car, or we would have been truly up s*** creek. Where my family lives, you drive a car or you don't get where you're going.

I will probably have to give in and buy a gas car. If I do, it's going to be an impala. I just love those cars. Or a Chrysler. I love those cars too much.

Just tried out the official Android Forums application and it works quite amazing
Does it work better than Tapatalk?
Works exactly the same, but just for AF. If you already use Tapa, stick with that IMO. Also the AF app has a long standing bug, in that it doesn't show picture attachments in posts, Tapa works fine.

It's CyanogenMod that's made Android in China usable for many expats.Over 10 hours on battery, 27% and no overheating, all thanks to cyanogenmod
Also got to update to 4.4.4 screw Samsung and they're slowness to rollout updates

I'd recommend the Impala. I almost bought an 03 to replace my old car last year when it died. The 3.8 V6 is bulletproof. Finances didn't line up so I didn't get it, then I landed my job and ended up with a 2012 Ford Fusion.
I do enjoy the Chrysler 300C(my parents bought an 06), but they're not easy on fuel and I'm leery of the reliability of any Chrysler product pre-bailout. FWIW though, the 06 300C has 190,000+ miles on it(probably 200,000 by now).

I really LOVE the look of the Chrysler 300. I'm also a fan of the New Ford Taurus, and the Fusion. Not so much the Focus though.
I love the Impala because of the TV show Supernatural TBH. The main characters drive a 1967 Impala, and by golly, that car is beautiful.
If I become rich one day, that is one car that I would love to drive around just for fun.
I will probably end up buying an Impala though. I hope. Even in the long run, driving a gas car for 10 years would be about the same price as a Tesla Model 3 new.

I remember my late dad owning a late 60's model Lincoln. It was all black with a green leather interior. It was a beautiful car. Too bad someone T-boned him around the corner at home.

How many miles it got on it? Buy a six year old car and find it's knackered or you got to spend serious money on it. Like it needs a new engine or transmission.

The Impala from Supernatural is a beautiful car. My dad had one in high school(i believe his was a coupe though). I would definitely give the early 2000s models a look, as they can be had for a good price, and get decent fuel economy for what they are. They were favored by fleets, so there are a lot of well-maintained cars out there.
I wouldn't even consider an electric car right now in your position in life. They're toys of the rich, and they're really not very practical yet. And somebody's got to burn something to power them, even if it isn't in your engine bay.

I am driving a hybrid right now, but trying to convince my workplace to install solar panels in a parking lot (I already have 'em on my house) in anticipation of eventually getting a PHEV or full electric.

As for electric cars, I'd wait to buy, the next generation will undoubtedly have longer-range batteries. Still, the Nissan Leaf will go 85 miles on a charge. That is plenty for most people for a day's driving. It would be worth leasing if you mostly drive around town.
