Root Re-install Android Market after root

Hey all,

This is probably a stupid question but I sent my phone to get fixed in Hong Kong as I bought it from ebay, and the stupid jerk uninstalled the normal Android software and replaced with something called goapk which as I've gathered is some form of Chinese version of Android. This is of no use to me as I don't understand Chinese and I live in Australia so all the apps are useless.
Anyway, I'm a fair noob at all things root related and I wanted to make sure that if I do go ahead and root and install a HTC Rom will the market definitely be there?
