Recent apps list

I'm newish to the S4 (had it a month now). I came from the HTC Rezound and one of its features was that it would list recent apps in a horizontal scrolling list. This was stock, no rooting, no launcher. Yes, I know I can long press the home button but I got real used to just pulling the notification bar down! I've looked for a similar widget in the play store, but my search came up empty. Any ideas?
