Android Question

I sent a snapchat on accident without saving it, and it was one I meant to save. I really want to find it, but I can't seem to figure out how to open the nomedia file.

I plugged my phone into my computer and found all the snapchat files, and I read that you can just delete .NOMEDIA from the name and it turns it to a JPEG and opens it. The one I want to open is:

h1a81hurcs00h1380872338543.jpg.nomedia

Certainly enough, when I rename it without the nomedia, it recognizes it as a JPEG, but when I open it with windows photo viewer, it can't open it. It says the file may be damaged/corrupted/wrong file type.

Any ideas? Thanks so much, I really appreciate the help!

It's evidently not a jpg file or it's a damaged one. Depending on what's wrong with it your chances of recovery are (if it's a different picture file type) excellent to (if it's a badly damaged jpg file) nonexistent. First step is probably to contact the author.
