Repeat Contacts very time a new HTC Sync comes out

How come every time I download a new version of HTC Sync, the first time I sync the program updates both phone and PC with contacts and calendar items that are already on both? Then I have to go in and delete all the repeats. This is so frustrating! This happens every time. Is there a way around this?

Yes, sync your contacts with gmail, I'm guessing sync copies from Outlook, then the phone Duncan with gmail, just use one.. maybeee

OK my bad, auto complete selected Duncan rather than Sync..

If youhave duplicates its probably because you have synced you Outlook contacts with your phone, and Gmail has synced them aswell,

Dont use HTC sync for contacts use Gmail, make sure all your contacts are in your gmail account, delete all your phone contacts, then sync the phone with gmail
