Help Replacing stock launcher.apk?

Hi,


I want to know if it's possible to replace the Launcher.apk in system/app with the apk for Launcher pro for example.. Would this simple replace the stock launcher with launcher pro, or will more config need to be completed?

Install launher pro, set it as default, delete launcher.apk from system/app.

If anything goes wrong though, you will have to reflash the phone to get the stock launcher working again.

Definitely. Remember, that in order to restore it later you will need a few commands to register the apk. You can also try backing it up with Titanium Backup and if need be restoring it from there, but when something goes wrong I doubt you will be able to use TiB.

It's just the launcher im huffed about, the UK build of 2.2.1 has the crappy pull up drawer..
