Root Restoring via Titanium on Desire with new IMEI number...

Here's my predicament.

I was previously rooted and running a custom ROM which supported Apps2SD+.

I suffered the dreaded reboot problem so unrooted and returned my phone under warranty to get repaired.

I'm reluctant to root and flash a custom ROM straight away incase the problem returns - as I've read horror stories of some people receiving the phone back with the problem still occuring.

I kept my partitioned SD Card safe with everything on it and also backed it up.

I also have 4GB SD card (which originally game with my Desire) which I could use for the time being on a stock ROM.

If/when the time comes to root and flash the custom ROM I was using (the final version of LeeDroid) could I simply insert my old SD card, flash LeeDroid and then restore all my apps and settings like I would do prior to the repair?

Or would the different IMEI number prevent this somehow?

Cheers.
