[ROM] CM9 alpha 2.0 is out

Martimus

One bite at a time...
Well... just as quickly as Dalingrin released CM9 Alpha 1.0 , he's now released CM9 Alpha 2.0.

It looks like the major changes with this release are video playback related. He indicates that they've fixed playback issues with Netflix and other apps that utilize live http streaming. They also indicate fixing blocky video due to bad scaling...

[Release][Alpha2] CyanogenMod 9 Touchpad - RootzWiki

Jeez, Can't keep pace with these developments.

Excellent work from the Devs.

I suspect the camera/mic issue will take a lot longer to fix mind.

Oh yeah it will.

I see no reason to upgrade unless you watch videos.... I don't. I'll update when I get bored. :D

If you install Alpha 2.0, do you still need to edit that file to get video playback working?

I want to upgrade when they get flash working, these are pretty significant releases tho... They're doing a great job

Flash works. I watched a 30 minute Flash video this morning.
Netflix works too. I watched a 2 hour movie last night.

Problems for me is wifi is unpredictable after it goes to sleep or non-usage.
However, it worked great during that 2 hours I watched a netflix movie.

For any rom upgrade (same rom, newer version) installed via CWM recovery:

Format cache (mounts menu) and clear Dalvik cache (advanced menu) should suffice unless it's specified otherwise.

If you use Acme Installer2, it'll take care of it for you. :D

If you flash the Change LCD density to 120, what does that do, and does it break the google market?

Alpha 2 is working great and as others have pointed out to me, Flash is working near flawlessly on this build, everything just works... I'm digging my two in one tablet.

After much help from our good friend, Colchiro, I have 2.0 up and running on my touchpad. However, after the initial setup, which worked great in pulling in all my apps, etc., from my google account, my wifi does not seem to be working. If I boot into webOS, it works fine. If I boot into 2.0, it SAYS it is working (finds my home network, connects to it), but if I try anything network related, it cannot do it. Browser says no internet connection, setting up another email account fails (immediately), etc. I have tried turning wifi off, then back on, watching it connect to my home network and then, showing solid signal strength. Am I doing something wrong, or are others having this issue? (I did a search before posting, and found nothing like this, so that's why I am posting this.)
