Rooted Sensation but having issues, should i restore factory settings & start again?

I rooted my sensation a few days ago using revolution and uploaded the andriod revolution HD Rom mostly its working fine but, titanium backup now says root access failed? & i forgot to make a nandroid back-up...

I installed connectbot & tried a script which also stated the device wasnt rooted!

When i did the rooting, it was showing both S-Off & Rooted, not sure whats changed this in last couple of days & without a back-up concerned not to f*ck the whole device with my meddling

As a non-techie should i restore factory settings & start again?

any advice appreciated

Or is there a better way to deal with this??

I'm new to this also, only rooted my phone last night. I did it using the guide over at xda, its a really good step by step walkthrough and includes a pretty decent trouble shooting guide. take a look at it and see if it helps.
