Help S3 4.3 update no contacts showing in kies3 now

Since updating my S3 to the 4.3 android and then having to up date my version of Kies to Kies 3 no contacts are showing on the phone section in Kies when plugged into the laptop and running Kies 3, the contacts on my actual phone are still there but I seem unable to back them up in Kies because they don't show.

Any help would be gratefully received
