Safe mode messes up all my widgets

I tried booting up into safe mode (to see if I could)
It loaded up my standard screens minus live wallpaper and widgets

Now when I boot up normally, my live wallpaper is no longer set (not a biggie) but ALL my widgets are now filled with "problem loading widget"

Short of deleting and recreating them on my homescreens, any ideas on if there is a quick way to get them back?

if you would read info of hawker you would spot (otherwise ur blind) that hes NOT rooted.

and back to topic... did u make any backup before that ? i`m rooted now and i use titanium for that but in your case i`m not sure i can help you :( i`m afraid u will have to set widgets once again from start.

DOH! I suggest you read this thread!

Thanks mate! My little boy was born, so I needed a bigger car to accomodate the family. I loved that Celica. Did loads of work on it, but family comes first butty!

    :)

I've deleted them and re-added them now.
    What a PITA!

Thought: I'm using GO Launcher, so it may be due to this, or it could be a general problem.
Need someone else to give this a go I suppose!!.... (go launcher AND touchwiz people)

i did exact same thing with the menu button ( the softkey to the LEFT of home screen button) and still no safe mode
most of the time during boot up the menu key didn't even light up so i doubt it had any effect when i press or hold on it

Once the graphic has started to show on bootup, keep fast-pressing the MENU key until you see "safe mode" appear in the bottom left of the screen.

Be our guinea-pig! Tell us what you lose!

err how fast do i have to press?
i'm already spamming it as soon as i turn power on

ONCE THE GRAPHIC HAS STARTED TO SHOW
    Ie. the animation splash screen

UPDATE: All buddy widgets, clock, bookmarks and accuweather widget remained unaffected.

This problem seems to relate to non-rom (ie 3rd party) widgets
