The four U.S. carriers planning on launching a version of the Samsung Galaxy S have yet to sell one handset in the States, and already there is talk about a follow-up model. Rendered pictures and rumored specs are all the information currently known about the model, known as the i9200 Samsung Galaxy S2. The handset will allegedly sport a 4.3 inch Super AMOLED2 tempered glass display with resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels (if the specs sound shocking, remember that this would not see daylight until 2011), and under the hood would be a 2GHz processor with 1GB RAM and 4GB of ROM. While the i9200 would come with 32GB of internal memory, a microSD slot would accept up to another 32GB of space. The Galaxy S2 would be powered by Android 3.0 and would feature an 8MP camera with full HD recording. The device would have an aluminum casing. And while you might think that some of these specs sound too ambitious to be for real, Motorola recently said that it would have a 2GHz phone ready by the end of 2010. According to the report, the i9200 Samsung Galaxy S2 would launch in Q1 of 2011 at an unsubsidized price of $800 US.
