Samsung galaxy s8 hardlock

Hello. I have an o2 carrier Samsung galaxy s8. I requested an unlock code which was sent but it has not worked. From reading it seems it was already hardlocked because it said sim network puk lock with an option to unlock or dismiss.

My question is will my phone ever be unlocked again? And if so how can I do it?
