Saving contacts from ROM to ROM

Is there an app that does this, or do I have to do it with HTC sync, because I don't really know how to do the latter option.

gmail automatically backs up all your contacts.

Ah woops, thought I was in there, thanks. I thought it would automatically save my contacts on gmail, but I'm not sure it is, it saves some of them, but for some reason not all.

Are your contact stored as "Google" contacts - which are automatically snyced with your Gmail account? Or stored on the phone -there is an option to "Import/Export" to your SD card if they are stored on the phone.

Ah yeah I made them phone contacts instead of Google contacts, thanks bishop.

if you would like another way to back them up, used mylookout. its available in the ust have apps sticky at the tops. backs up photos, call logs, and contacts along with some other REALLY great features.

Glad to help, I've been given plenty of assistance around here. Seems like more than a few people have done that, and had to delete the contact and re-enter as google-type.
